The One Truth I Want You To Take in 2026

I sat down to write you a greatest-hits-of-2025 newsletter.

Pulled up my YouTube channel. Started scrolling through the more-than 100 still-publicly-available videos and live shows from this year looking for stars.

This doesn’t even count the more-than 40 premium, live, group coaching sessions I ran for the Job Search and Leadership Coaching Program members.

The idea was simple. Pick the best and give you a curated recap.

Then something unexpected happened.

I stumbled on one video that stopped me cold. It made me cry again. It made me rethink what I actually want to tell you as we close out the year.

So, let’s forget the greatest-hits idea and do a quality-over-quantity thing instead.

Earlier in the year, I shared a story about how big goals have changed me. How they stretch your beliefs, test your patience, and make you question your sanity in ways you can’t appreciate until you’ve lived it.

In less than 9 minutes, you can watch me go from feeling grounded to wondering if I’ve completely lost it.

You can’t see everything that leads up to a moment like that unless you follow me around for a month. You only see the tip of the emotional iceberg.

But that moment reminded me of something I want you to appreciate about yourself as you head into 2026.

Life is hard. It’s supposed to be hard. Because the returns we want, like changing your life or making someone else’s life better, are freakin’ hard.

Finding the right job is hard. Growing your career is hard. Becoming the person you know you can be is hard.

But the rewards are worth every scar you collect along the way.

People see me each week smiling and shining. That takes practice.

What they don’t see are the moments of confusion, frustration, and the mental scar tissue I stack on top of last year’s mental scar tissue from every attempt and pursuit.

I don’t start my day thinking I need to change twenty lives.

I start my day thinking Who’s the one person I can help today?

It only takes one.

And today, Andrew, that one person is you.

I hope you watch this video.

Not because it’s polished. Because it’s honest. Because you’ll see what big goals really do to a person who’s chasing them for the right reasons.

I hope it inspires you to look back on 2025 and find that one great thing you did. There’s always one. There’s always something worth celebrating.

And I hope it sets the tone for how you walk into 2026.

Plan big. Dream big. Go bigger than you think you should.

The world needs you at your best. You’ve got more to offer than you realize.

The only question worth asking yourself is, “What will I do with my potential?”
