How to Listen to People You Vehemently Disagree With

 

Let's be honest. We have to listen to people on a DAILY basis who we vehemently disagree with or who frankly, we think are idiots.

It's normal to have opinions.

It's not normal to be unable to have a conversation with someone who views an issue differently than you.

Here are some tips for how to:

  • LISTEN when you disagree or have a strong judgment
  • control your impulse to "shut down" in conversations you don't like
  • build deeper relationships with clients, spouses, friends, children
