Does the Morningstar Quantitative Rating Work?

The Morningstar Quantitative Rating was launched last year. They took a hard look at how the rating has performed thus far.

The rating is calculated monthly and is designed to provide investors with even more fund coverage evaluate their investments. It is an extension of the Morningstar Analyst Rating but for funds – designed to provide “an analyst’s forward-looking assessment of a fund’s ability to outperform its peer group or a relevant benchmark on a risk-adjusted basis over a full market cycle. Since it’s launch in the U.S. in June 2017 it has since been introduced in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South Korea.
