Scaling a Firm When You’re Already at Capacity

When growth creates more questions than answers. A conversation I had recently ended with a question that stuck with me.

He said, “I assume you’re taking clients — since you took my call?”

It made me realize something.

I probably haven’t been clear enough.

Yes — I’m having conversations with advisors and leaders right now.

Because I’m meeting a lot of top performers who are in the same place.

The business is working. Growth is happening. But something feels tight.

Not because anything is wrong.

Because the business has reached what I call a Capacity Season — the point where the next level isn’t about working harder.

It’s about thinking differently.

In these conversations, we don’t start with tactics.

We step back and look at questions like:

  • What is your business actually designed to become?
  • Where is your personal capacity limiting growth?
  • What should depend on you — and what shouldn’t anymore?
  • If the business doubled from here, what would need to change?

Sometimes that conversation turns into coaching.

Sometimes it doesn’t.

But every time, it creates clarity.

And clarity is usually what’s missing at this stage.

If you’re in a season where your business is successful — but your role feels less clear than it used to…

I’m opening time over the next few weeks for these conversations.

If this sounds like where you are, you’re welcome to message me or use the email address in my profile to schedule a time.

No pressure. No pitch.

Just space to think out loud with someone who works in this moment every day.

Because Capacity Seasons don’t get solved by pushing harder.

They get solved by stepping back — and seeing the business differently.
